About this policy

This policy explains how Barcode Reader: Scan & Save handles information when you use the app. The app does not require an account.

Camera barcode scanning

The app requests camera access so it can scan barcodes. Camera input is used to recognise barcodes on your device. The app does not upload camera images to Watercolour Digital.

Photo library barcode scanning

If you choose to scan a barcode from an existing image, the app requests the photo access needed for you to select that image. Selected images are processed for barcode recognition on your device and are not uploaded to Watercolour Digital.

Scan history and CSV export

Your scan history is stored locally on your device. You can choose to export that history as a CSV file. An export leaves the app only when you select a destination or share it using system controls.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed through Apple’s StoreKit services. Watercolour Digital does not receive your full payment details. Apple may process purchase information under its own privacy policy.

Advertising and consent

The app uses Google Mobile Ads and consent management services. Depending on your region, settings, and consent choices, Google and its partners may process device information and advertising identifiers to provide, measure, or limit ads. Consent choices are presented where required and can be managed through the options available in the app.

Accounts, backend, and cloud sync

The app has no account system. Watercolour Digital does not currently operate a backend for the app, and scan history is not synced to the cloud.
